The West Village Veterinary Hospital (WVVH) opened in 1979 at 705 Washington Street offering veterinary care, animal surgery, feline and canine vaccines, general pet health care, and dental care to pet owners. After nearly 30 years at our original NYC location on Washington Street, we moved the animal hospital to its current facility on Eighth Avenue in the summer of 2008.

The West Village Veterinary Hospital (WVVH) is a member of the Downtown Veterinary Medical Hospitals Group, a close-knit group of four neighborhood-oriented animal hospitals in downtown Manhattan.  All DVM Hospitals facilities use Electronic Medical Records. When we enter medical information into your pet's electronic medical record, it is immediately copied to each of our other hospital locations over the Internet. Should your favorite doctor be at another location, or if your cat or dog ever requires specialized procedures or hospitalization at one of our other facilities, your pet's medical record will already be there and can be immediately accessed by any of our professional staff.
